In the little town of Inspiration practically everyone has a demon on their shoulder. Demons in a ghostly form whisper into people's ears, speaking to their darkest thoughts and turning them from God and the angels who protect them. Almost the entire town has been taken by darkness. The last hold out, Emma Louise Green, is going to need more than just a Whisperer if she is going to fall. She needs a Talker, a demon born to Earth into a human host who's mission is to turn her. Zachary has never taken a commission as a Talker before. In his long life as a demon he has never seen color, eaten food, had to breath or experienced love. But all that will change because being reborn as human means getting everything that comes with being a human. Good and evil get turned on their heads in this story. An engaging and enjoyable read.
