a review of The Maenad of Manhattan by Dhelmken88
Let me start by saying thank you for allowing me to read and review your work! This will be my first review with this site, so I thank you for the opportunity!
What I'll post on other sites:
"If you're looking for a book that's light, quick, and steamy, "The Maenad of Manhattan" fits the bill. Aphrodite is a character that you can relate to, and Loki's mystery is alluring, even for the reader. The writer has taken two pantheons and found a way to merge them, using an unconventional romance, in modern Manhattan. Even if you know little of Greek or Norse Gods, the story is still enjoyable and it doesn't leave you isolated from the characters. It's a story that would be great for a relaxing day on the beach or by the pool. Happy reading!"
What I would like to add without deterring other readers is that I hope for a little more character development as the series continues. I'd love to know more about how both Loki and Aphrodite fared through the ages. Maybe more about how they handled the transition from their prime to their current states. But overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and would love to read the next installment. Thank you again!
