Dark Control delivers! Once again, Annabel Joseph has woven a story with complex characters dealing with personal challenges. Fair warning, this may not be the novel for everyone. The book deals with the dark subject of a true power exchange in a consenting S&M union. Joseph is adept at developing characters that must overcome their own flaws as they struggle to create a relationship that is based in trust and mutual need. Her scenes come from a place of realism, all the while showing that romance and bdsm can coexist. Fort and Juliet's story was intriguing and I found myself invested in their outcome. There's certainly a reason Annabel Joseph is one of my favorite authors.
