I love reading Annabel Joseph for all the crazy emotions she make me feel... and for the really crazy sex.
This book is about Juliet, business manager to temperamental artist, and Fort, business man and hire to a million dollar business. They're first meeting isn't that auspicious: Fort rescues a really drunk Juliet and takes her to his home since she didn't have her phone and wallet and couldn't say where she lived; he found her outside a BDSM club. When she wakes up she's mortified, appalled, and a bit turned on by our hero, and the only thing she wants is to go home. Fast forward a few weeks and google searches and they end up working together.
They go out to dinner, Fort's idea, and they finally talk about their interest in kink. They're super attracted to each other and Fort hopes she's a masochist to his sadist. He's also scared of her emotional openness. Fort decides that even though he can't stop thinking about her a sexual relationship(any kind of relationship) wouldn't be a good idea so he fucks up and chooses for both of them. Lots of drama ensures and they part ways. Third time's the charm though...
Juliet is an amazing person, well organized in he professional life but she has a weakness in crappy males. She usually chooses the emotionally unavailable and/or stunted. I loved her snarkiness, humor and courage. Fort is generous, has a bit of a knight in shining armor complex and is crazy kinky. He loves making women cry, but only during sex. It's really corny to say: but they complete each other.
Ms Joseph wrote another of her emotional roller-coasters with lovable characters(even when you kinda want to murder them) and really good sex. This book is for anyone who isn't afraid of some really spicy sex.
