24/7...Not Really For Me...But Still Pretty Hot!
First I would like to take the time to mention that I received this book from the author from <i> Novel Reviewers </i> in exchange for the book to be read then reviewed.
I want to start of the review by saying that Erotica & BDSM are some of my favorite genres to read and I had read a good number of them. Also, this is not the first book that I had read by Annabel Joseph, so I kind of knew that I was going to like her book before I read it.
Annabel Joseph does a really good job at not filtering her descriptions and her word choices in her writing; her work is usually brutal and not for the faint at heart. Also, I think it is important that the reader knows a good amount about BDSM and the roles of Master/slave or D/s before embarking on heavy material like this. I, personally, know a fair deal on the topic and there were times where some of what Molly was taking from Mephisto just seemed like too much. I found myself cringing at times, and getting angry for her at times. However, everything that is done to her has a reason and the reader has to remember that at some point Molly consented to give herself over and actually must enjoy her life this way to have done so.
I have read a story that was similar to this, <i> Guilty Pleasures by Kitty Thomas </i> which in a lot of ways it is very different but I was reminded of it when I was reading this.
I look forward to reading many more of Annabel Joseph's books, she is a great writer and I love her subject matter, this one just was not my favorite.
